Welcome Party

The HC Welcome Party marks the official start of the carnival, creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can reconnect with old friends and meet new people before the parade.

This is a night party full of Caribbean rhythms and tropical cocktails, perfect for warming up and starting to enjoy the weekend’s energy.

During this event, the carnival bands or “mas bands” participating in the parade are showcased. The music, handled by DJs, includes soca, calypso, and reggae songs.

Duck Work

The HC Duck Work is a premium day party celebrated on the rooftop of the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood, turning into a true Caribbean paradise.

From noon to afternoon, you can enjoy the warm Los Angeles sun while being swept away by the infectious rhythm of Caribbean music.

In addition to the music, you’ll have the opportunity to try Caribbean snacks and drinks that prepare you for the night’s carnival activities.

Soca Startr

The HC Soca Startr is a night event perfect for soca music lovers featuring a renowned DJ.

The party starts right after Duck Work, ensuring the fun doesn’t stop and the dance floor fills with Caribbean hits.

Laser lights and visual effects enhance the experience, creating an audiovisual spectacle that will captivate you from the first moment.

Parade of the Bands

The Parade of the Bands event is the soul of the carnival, an impressive parade that travels along Hollywood Boulevard from Western Avenue to Highland Avenue, ending at the Carnival Cultural Village.

For several hours, each “mas band” presents itself with themed carnival costumes, choreographed routines, and live orchestras, transforming the street into a vibrant mosaic of colors and rhythms.

At the end of the route, everyone gathers at the Carnival Cultural Village, where you’ll find a variety of international food stalls, crafts, and side stages with dance and drum performances.

This combination of parade and community party reinforces the sense of unity and multicultural celebration.

HC After Party

The HC After Party awaits you on the Saturday night right after the parade.

This party is an extension of the main celebration, where you’ll enjoy Caribbean flavors like tamales, ceviches, and rum cocktails, all accompanied by live music ranging from calypso to contemporary Caribbean fusions.

Holi J’ouvert (Wet Fete)

The Holi J’ouvert (Wet Fete) event kicks off before dawn on Sunday, inspired by Caribbean J’ouvert traditions where the “dawn break” marks the start of the party.

A colorful celebration where you’ll enjoy dancing to soca, calypso, and dancehall music while getting drenched with water and colored paints.

Hollywood Carnival Shine

The Hollywood Carnival Shine brings a dazzling end to the weekend with a Sunday daytime festival that combines live performances, DJs, and cultural group presentations on an outdoor stage.

With a family-friendly atmosphere, the event features rest areas, food trucks offering international cuisine, and activities for the little ones, creating a perfect balance of fun and community.
